Two men shaking hands
Tuesday 19 January 2016 - 08:00 to Thursday 29 December 2016 - 16:49

Following a successful Anti-corruption Conference in 2015 co-hosted by British Council and Trinidad & Tobago Transparency Institute, the two organisations have signed an MoU committing to work together over the next three years. This agreement between the two institutions is in recognition of the value of promoting mutual co-operation in the area of Good Governance, Transparency and Integrity.

In 2016 we can look forward to this agreement taking shape with British Council’s involvement in the 2016 Anti-Corruption Conference scheduled for March 8th themed: UNMASK THE CORRUPT: Governance, Integrity, People.

Other upcoming projects are Caribbean Newsroom 2016! A spin off from BC’s Future News, Caribbean Newsroom is a Caribbean Media Conference carded for March, with a  school programme to follow in May. School’s Newsroom programme will be targeting primary school children between the ages of 11-13 years, who have completed the SEA exams and are about to enter the Secondary school system. They will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on what is involved in the various aspects of media and work on a designated school media project.

Also on the cards is Try Rugby! With partner negotiations coming to a close soon, we will be starting this exciting project in April/May of 2016.
