We make sure you have a simple and straightforward experience, from the moment you register for the university exam to the day you get your results.

We’ll look after the whole process, from providing the exam venue and professionally trained supervisors to having your exams processed by the exam board.

All you need to do is prepare for your exam and turn up on exam day.

How do you register?

It’s easy to register for your university exams.

  1. First get in touch with your education institution and register your exam directly with them.
  2. Once your exam place has been confirmed you should contact us and return the application form.
  3. You need to do this at least one month before your exam.

How much will it cost?

Our fees do not include costs charged by the exam board. Please get in touch with the board to discuss their costs.

What do we provide?

We can provide the following equipment and services:

  • a well-outfitted examination room with adequate lighting, ventilation and a clock;
  • computers, headsets and webcams for computer-based exams;
  • invigilators to administer the exams in accordance with Exam Board regulations;
  • return of completed answer scripts via courier, where applicable;
  • other related requests.

What do we need?

Examination papers should be sent to our office at least one working week before the examination date.

Please ensure that any additional materials required for the test (statistical tables, atlases etc.) are included in the package you send us.

When can you take an exam?

Please note that we are unable to host exams that take place on weekends or on the following scheduled holidays:

  • Good Friday
  • Easter Monday
  • Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation Day
  • Corpus Christi
  • Indian Arrival Day
  • Labour Day
  • Emancipation Day
  • Independence Day
  • Divali (to be confirmed)
  • Eid-ul-Fitr (to be confirmed)
  • Christmas Holidays

The British Council and the examining boards take all reasonable steps to provide continuity of service. Therefore, please understand that we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. If examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as possible. The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later date.
