Choose how to take your IELTS test and book online 

You can take your test at one of our official test centres in the Caribbean region on paper or on a computer. All you need is a valid identification document and a bank card if you want to pay online. Find available test dates in our official test centres in Cuba and Dominican Republic.

 What you need to book

  1. A valid identification document. When you register, you’ll need to upload a scan of your ID. It must be valid at the time of booking and on the test day. If you're under 18, your parents will also need to complete the Parent consent for candidates under 18 form.  IELTS is not recommended for anyone under 16.
  • For nationals of Trinidad and Tobago, ID issued only by the Government or passport.  For non-nationals, passport only.
  • For nationals of Jamaica, Passport or Jamaican National ID. 
  • For Cuba, valid passport or national identity card- at hand.

 2. A bank card. You can pay for your test through our online booking system or via bank transfer. Find out more about how to pay.

  • In Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica you can pay for your test either through our online registration system or via bank transfer. (For more information on payment by bank transfer, see the links in each of the country names.)
  • In Cuba, payment should be made via a bank transfer directly at Banco Metropolitano on 5th and 112, Playa, Havana, Cuba, before registering at the British Council office. Candidates should deposit the total amount of the fee and ask the cashier to include his/her name on the bank slip. Interested candidates will be given the corresponding bank instructions and deposit form when collecting the registration form from our office. However you register, we recommend that you call our office before you pay for the exam, as we have limited places available. After you have booked your test

You will receive emails confirming:

  • the start time of your test and the venue address
  • your Speaking Test date
  • your access to the free online preparation courses: Road to IELTS Last Minute Version and IELTS WordReady.
