What if I don't live in Cuba?
Non Cuban candidates are very welcome to take an IELTS exam in Cuba. If you do not reside in Cuba, you can register and pay for the exam from your country.
The cost sitting a test is CUC 228 and you should transfer the money at least 3 days before the closing registration date.
Very important: Please contact Sandra del Pino via email or telephone (53 7 2142266) before making a transfer from a bank overseas.
We recommend bringing Euros or Sterling Pounds when coming to Cuba as the CUC no longer enjoys parity with the American dollar (USD). The CUC was revalued and at present
ROE is US$1.05. Foreigners bringing US dollars will be charged 10% commission on exchanging them into Convertible Pesos. It is therefore advisable to bring any other hard currency such as GBP or Euros.
Please bear in mind that you will be unable to take the test if you fail to take your flight or have any other unexpected incident that prevent you from getting to the test venue on time (at least ten minutes before the exam starts).
If you require any other information do not hesitate to contact: Sandra del Pino (IELTS Assistant), tel: 53 7 214 2266, email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
